The buzz surrounding the recent awards show has been intense, especially after presenter Geoff Keighley shared a puzzling image of a desert monolith. The secret has now been solved. Larian Studios is working on a brand-new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was showcased with a bold trailer featuring intense imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to scenes of revelry and the literal unleashing of hell.
Not the Expected Sequel
Anyone expecting Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. Larian clarified that a follow-up to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not on the cards right now.
Nevertheless, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a continuation of the main series. This phrasing suggests that the team might be building a more action-oriented experience rather than another turn-based title. For now, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.

The Divinity series is universally respected and arguably it kicked off the recent resurgence of complex computer role-playing games. These games are celebrated for rich lore, branching plots, and deep class systems—elements that later were perfected in games like Baldur's Gate 3.
